MedSmart is designed to address one of the biggest problems in healthcare - medication non-adherence. Classified as "the world's other drug problem", non-adherence to medication regimens accounts for more than 10% of older adult hospital admissions and one out of four nursing home admissions.

Under the event reporting and notification version, device and compliance information is transmitted to a secure data center which allows caregivers and healthcare providers an ability to track compliance, proactively address dosing errors, ensure equipment functionality and predict refill requirements. 

MedSmart is manufactured and monitored by American Medical Alert Corp (AMAC).  Alert Guardian is your local service provider.  We market, install and service these systems.


How it Works  

MedSmart is a convenient, user-friendly device to help take pills and vitamins properly and on-time.

Easy to set 

Simply program the Med Alarms from 1 to 6 times per day in accordance with the dosage schedule.








The circular tray has cells for you to organize pills. Select the appropriate template that corresponds with the dosage schedule and fill the tray accordingly. Close the device and place it on the docking base.






Easy to use


When it's time to take Medications...   At each reminder/alarm time, a flashing light and sound alert will remind you that it is time to take your pills, the tray will rotate, and your medication will be made available.  







Tip the unit to dispense your pills and the device is ready to dispense the next dose at the scheduled time.
